Christopher Woolmer

Liberal Democrats councillor for Sutton West & East Cheam

Council: Sutton

Term started: 7 May 2026

Liberal Democrats

I am Christopher Woolmer and I have lived in Sutton since 2002. I am a professional and performing musician and also teach at various schools in the London area, including in Sutton. I studied the organ and the piano at the Royal College of Music. I am passionate about protecting the environment and human health against pollution, and I am currently the Chair of the Environment and Sustainable Transport Committee for Sutton Council, where I have been able to oversee the environmental values and actions that I care so much about. I continue to be involved in much local campaigning and am an ardent supporter of the importance and strength of local communities, as well as upholding the values of Liberal Democracy, and I want to maintain and strengthen these values in Sutton.
