I believe in transparent, accountable local government that genuinely works for residents. Whether it's pushing back on parking charges at Jennycliff and Mount Batten, improving road safety, or holding the council to account through scrutiny, I'm focused on the issues that matter to people in our community. As Scrutiny Chair for Children's, Young People and Families, I work to make sure decisions affecting Plymouth residents are properly challenged and evidence-based. Before going into local politics I was a Civil Servant latterly working at the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office. I've also previously worked for the Ministry of Housing, Communities & Local Government, Department for Health and Social Care, and Department for Work and Pensions. That experience means I understand how government works from the inside, and I use it to ask the right questions, cut through complexity, and get things done for residents. I'm always happy to hear from residents. If something's affecting your area, get in touch.
