Ed Tyldesley

Ed Tyldesley is a Liberal Democrat county councillor who believes politics should be rooted in fairness, compassion and giving people a genuine voice in the decisions that affect their lives. He believes everyone should have the opportunity to thrive, regardless of their background, income or postcode, and that strong public services are essential to a fair society. He is particularly passionate about improving opportunities for children and young people, supporting vulnerable residents, strengthening rural communities and ensuring that public money is spent for the public good. Ed is committed to tackling the climate and nature crises, protecting our rivers and countryside, and holding both government and private companies to account when they fail the communities they serve. He believes in equality, human rights, internationalism and an open, tolerant society. Above all, he wants politics to be kinder, more constructive and more ambitious, bringing people together to build stronger, fairer and more sustainable communities.
