Eleanor Stringer

Labour councillor for Wandle

Council: Merton

Term started: 7 May 2026

Labour

I'm Eleanor Stringer and I'm your Labour candidate for Wimbledon. I love Wimbledon. It's been my family's home for decades, and now, my husband and I are raising our beautiful daughter here. As a local campaigner, councillor and charity worker, I have a track record of delivering for Wimbledon already. I've made sure local children didn't go hungry during the pandemic, expanded our CCTV network to tackle crime and flytipping, and protected services from government cuts. I want to give Wimbledon a voice at the table under a Labour government. I have a plan and record of making a real difference locally, and I will work hard every day to deliver a better future for Wimbledon.
