Labour

Jo has lived in Balham for 22 years. Her children attended local nurseries, primary schools and Chestnut Grove Academy. Jo has been a Labour councillor since 2018, helping resolve thousands of pieces of case work for residents. Every Sunday she visits a Balham street or estate to check in with residents to seek out feedback and ideas on how to make Balham an even better place to live. Jo works with residents and businesses to identify fly tipping hotspots and work up solutions specific to each site. She has helped to reduce fly tipping in Balham by almost 20%. Jo has campaigned for and delivered zebra crossings to reduce road danger and improved facilities on our council estates. She works closely with Lime and Forest to ensure that Balham residents have clear pavements by accessing where bike and scooter bays can be placed.
