We want the government to amend its Planning & Infrastructure Bill to: 1. Ban wind farms on peatland in the National Site Network and SSSIs in England, and 2. Require the restoration to good conservation status of peatland’s interlinked mosaic of habitats, including irreplaceable blanket bog.

Change the law for planning permission on protected properties that burn down
In instances where Grade 1 and 2 listed buildings catch fire, planning permission for any future development should be denied for a period of 25 years, the building rebuilt by the owners to original state and if they cannot rebuild, the land should be reverted to public green space.
We call on Government to support the Climate and Nature Bill
We believe the Climate and Nature (CAN) Bill is the only science-led legislation comprehensive enough to tackle the current climate and environmental emergencies at the scale needed. We want Government to fully support this Bill and give Parliament time and opportunity to pass it.
Amend the Town and Country Planning (Tree Preservation) (England) Regulations
Remove the need for permission from the local planning authority to work on a tree with a TPO as long as the work is done by a qualified tree surgeon in accordance with BS3998. To avoid doubt, work in the context of this amendment excludes felling, which would still require LPA approval.
Ban large solar farms on high-quality farmland and mandate BESS safety zones
We demand legislation to ban large solar on farmland classed as Best and Most Versatile farmland.
Protect green belt land and playing fields
A petition opposes plans to reduce Farnham Park's golf course from 18 to 9 holes and build a professional football academy on green belt land. The petition argues this represents a major change to public recreational land without proper consultation.
