The Government should ensure carers do not become ineligible for benefits exempting Carer’s Allowance when calculating council tax reductions and other benefit entitlements.

Allow Carers/Family of children given them by social services to claim benefit
Legislate to allow benefits currently given to the birth parents of children who are currently being cared for by social services or have been passed to family members or other carers to instead be given to those family members or carers doing the caring.
Increase the Carer’s Allowance to equal 35 hours at minimum wage
I want the Government to appreciate unpaid carers who can’t work and to increase the Carer’s Allowance so it equals the minimum wage. Many unpaid carers are only paid around £333 a month for a minimum 140 hours care every 4 weeks, which works out around £2.50 an hour.
Allow full-time students who provide 35+ hours care to receive Carer’s Allowance
Amend the eligibility rules for Carer’s Allowance so that people in full-time education who provide at least 35 hours of care per week can receive Carer’s Allowance, provided all other conditions are met.
Increase full-time Carer's Allowance to at least £840 per week
We want the government to increase the Carer’s Allowance to at least £840 per week. We believe carers should be valued within society & their worth should be reflected in the help and benefits they receive. Carers can receive £83.30 a week however they must provide care for at least 35 hours a week
Stop the deduction of carers allowance from people's Universal Credit award
Stop the deduction of Carers Allowance from the carers Universal Credit award, it shouldn’t be treated as an income.
