In Fawzia's own words

Fawzia has lived and worked as an architect in the Kennington area for several decades, and was involved in setting up the Ethelred Estate TMO.

She says the construction industry needs to deal with its impact on climate change – concrete manufacture is one of the highest emitters of C02.

“Lambeth Labour is allowing the spread of large towers throughout Kennington, without care for the negative impacts on our environment.

A recent example? The Council-owned Denby Court has buildings that can be retrofitted, yet Lambeth Labour just gave permission for 2 large concrete towers, which will overshadow surrounding residents' homes and Lambeth Walk Doorstep Green.

I am standing to hold Lambeth Council to account.”
