In Jonathan's own words

Jonathan Bartley grew up in Clapham and has lived in the local area all his life. He previously served as a Green Party councillor, successfully tackling fly-tipping and anti-social behaviour while working to protect Lambeth’s green spaces.

For four years he led the Green opposition on Lambeth Council, standing up to cuts to vital local services and exposing the council's corruption and waste.

Jonathan is also a foster carer. A former co-leader of the national Green Party, he continues to campaign for fairer communities, with a particular focus on defending the rights of disabled people and refugees.

Jonathan's other passion is protecting live music. As a musician himself he was nominated blues drummer of the year, and has played festivals all around the country including Glastonbury and recently at the 02 Shepherd's Bush.
