In Mahamed's own words

Hashi has lived in Stockwell for over 30 years, and a councillor since 2018. He has worked hard to help our most vulnerable residents secure housing of a good standard. He has also been a youth and community worker for over 20 years setting up numerous community projects including the Brixton soup kitchen and New Beginnings which carried out gang intervention programmes on several estates in Stockwell. He has worked closely with the police and local residents. He has challenged anti-social behaviour in Stockwell as a former secretary of the Safer Neighbourhood Panel, including as Chair of Lambeth Stop and Search monitoring group.
