In Heather's own words

Heather is an unusual type of software engineer – she distrusts computers and loves talking to people!

She wants to apply her skills to scrutinise the systems the council uses to run its services. Not in pursuit of cost savings or to make cuts, but to make sure they are set up in a technically literate way and are running well for residents.

People with skills like hers must offer them to our communities. Local people deserve functioning local services, and it’s very clear that they aren’t getting them at the moment.
