In Laura's own words

**About Laura Pearce**

I moved to Walthamstow five years ago, and love the Borough. I grew up in a working class household in Somerset. The first person in my family to go to university, where I studied law. I am now a solicitor working for a trade union, a job I love: getting to advocate for people’s rights and influence Government policy.

**What Laura stands for**

I believe in communities and working together to make a better life in the Borough. I want to use my skills to influence positive changes for everyone in Waltham Forest. By listening to what residents want, I hope I can ensure the needs of our community are met.
