In Edward's own words

Edward Mundy (he/him) has been an Oxford City Councillor since 2021, then standing for the Labour Party. He was an officer in the Labour Group, leader of the Community Independents, and spent 4 years chairing the General Purposes Licensing Committee.

Leaving Labour in late 2023, in response to their leadership failing to condemn the catastrophic IDF assault on Gazan civilians, Edward joined the Green Party at the beginning of this year. This is a year of huge potential for our party both locally and nationally, as was shown in Gorton & Denton.

Edward has a trade unionist background, having represented postal workers across Oxfordshire during one of the most bitter postal strikes in decades. He now helps local people in OX4 as an adviser, so he is acutely aware of the issues that are impacting families in Cowley during the cost of living crisis.
