Mike Rowley
Labour councillor for Barton & Sandhills
Active on State
Council: Oxford
Term ends: 2 May 2030
I’ve represented Barton and Sandhills on the City Council for the past 16 years and am honoured to represent communities that have so much strength. I’ve always done my best to support that, including getting funding for the new library and sports pavilion and funding to save the leisure centre from potential closure after Covid; and making sure that just over half the new homes on Barton Park are affordable Council homes for local people. I’m out and about in the area day in, day out, hearing what's on residents' minds and striving to make that reflected in Council decisions. I fight to get Barton and Sandhills their fair share, and to support local people who will always be my top priority.
