In Siobhan's own words

I have lived in Hinksey Park ward for over 35 years. I would communicate and champion the views and interests of Hinksey Park residents from a position of deep local knowledge. I live here. I rely on our buses and local services. I care about its history and its future.

I have worked in the public sector for decades: for the NHS in a child and adolescent psychiatric unit; and for 35 years as a teacher in comprehensive schools in Bicester and Wallingford. I led a large English department, and was a union rep supporting workers’ rights and conditions in constructive dialogue with management.

I have spent my retirement working in our local community, including being out on the doorstep most weekends listening to people’s concerns. I would be an active councillor, responding promptly to provide the help and action needed. Hinksey Park must be kept safe and welcoming for people of all ages and backgrounds – those that have lived here for many years and those people who want to make their futures here.
