In Susan's own words

As the city councillor for the Wood Farm and Churchill area for 25 years, and council leader since 2018 I have always worked to secure more genuinely affordable, council, and shared ownership housing in our city, and ensure that our city’s economic growth benefits everyone. I have played a key role in the rollout of the Oxford Living Wage across the City, with 190 local employers paying £14.06 an hour from April 2026, and have local businesses and jobs. As well as my duties I work part-time at Oxford University Hospitals and have two daughters born at the JR and attended local schools. This local link has driven me to help secure the future of youth provision in Wood Farm, support local community groups, repave the path through Magdalen Woods, and crack down on antisocial behaviour, with new lighting and my monthly litterpick. I care deeply for the residents and am dedicated to supporting them year-round.
