"Local Experience. Fresh Energy. Community First." I am delighted to announce that I will be standing as the Liberal Democrat candidate ๐Ÿ”ถ for South Cambridgeshire District Council in Over and Willingham at the local elections on 7 May 2026. ๐Ÿ“‹ Having served on Willingham Parish Council for six years, including a year as Vice Chairman, I have worked closely with residents, local groups, and partners on community projects, planning scrutiny, and environmental and wellbeing initiatives. I am now standing for district council because our villages deserve a strong, well-informed local voice where the decisions that shape our daily lives are made. My three priorities for Over and Willingham: (1) ๐Ÿฅ Fighting to improve our local NHS ๐Ÿš‘ Working alongside Ian Sollom MP to campaign for faster GP appointments, better access to NHS services, and supporting community health initiatives my previous work includes helping make the defibrillator on Willingham High Street a reality. (2) ๐Ÿšง More money to fix our roads and pavements ๐Ÿ›‘ Demanding fair funding to repair neglected roads and pavements after years of Conservative underinvestment - from resurfacing Shelford Road to securing better footpath provision across our villages, like the new route to Highgate that is finally on its way. (3) ๐Ÿก Standing up for our local community ๐Ÿง‘โ€๐Ÿง‘โ€๐Ÿง’ Listening to residents, supporting local groups and events, and working to protect village services, green spaces, and the strong community spirit that makes Over & Willingham such special places to live and raise a family.
