In Anna's own words

I'm not from here. I grew up in Aotearoa New Zealand, and was drawn to make St James my home because of its long history of artisans and makers. I own a small business, where I use my creative practice to imagine better futures.

I’ve used creativity to redesign parks, recruit teachers and help women advocate for better outcomes.

Having volunteered with care experienced young people for many years, I know a well run council could change everything for our young people. Our ward has a once in a lifetime chance to vote for hope, and I want to be part of that.

Labour has taken St James for granted and the evidence is on our streets: rising costs, dying trees, and young people with nowhere to go and nothing to do. We can’t afford a council that doesn’t work for us.

I want public money used to build community wealth for the long term. I want the council to invest proactively in the next generation rather than reacting when things go wrong.

And I want residents in the room when decisions get made about our futures, not told about them afterwards.
