Louise Ashcroft

Green Party councillor for Higham Hill

Term started: 7 May 2026

Green Party

**About Louise Ashcroft** I’ve lived in Higham Hill 15+ happy years. I love my wonderful neighbours, local nature, arts and all the activities we have on our doorstep. I’m an artist and university lecturer who makes comedy performances and community projects. I work a lot with disabled people and young people, giving them power to advocate for equal rights and bright futures. I studied green engineering and net zero futures last year, and did a residency in a waste recycling plant. I love running, women’s football (Spurs… sorry!), our allotments, and making imaginative things happen that bring communities together. **What Louise stands for** I’d listen to you, neighbours! I’d empower and amplify you. My values: Clean, safe neighbourhoods. Support creativity and play. Create spaces for social connection and friendship. Support families of all kinds. Protect recreational spaces and nature. Heal the root causes of crime. Safe roads. Champion local businesses. Nurture the new Higham Hill Hub. Affordable housing and access to healthy food are human rights. Divest from war, Free Palestine. I would work with Labour Councillors effectively, reinforcing green issues like health, wellbeing and equality. I stood for Greens in 2018 and came right behind Labour. Get a green in the mix!
