Darren Hayday

Independent / Other councillor for Sands

Active on State

Council: Buckinghamshire

Term ends: 3 May 2029

Independent / Other

I've had the honour of serving as a local Cllr since 2003, with Wycombe District, Bucks County and now Bucks Council (Unitary). I enjoy helping residents, as the system is set up to make you fail and give up. My secrets are perseverance, having good relationships with officers, picking up a thing or two over the years and building up my reputation for getting stuff done / rolling up my sleaves and getting into it (at the very least!). I've stood in a number of elections where other candidates come out only when they want to stand for their own interest, then disappear again straight afterwards. In my spare time I litter pick, ride my motorbike and try to get out on the water with my kayak. Have lived in Wycombe and the surrounding area all my life including in Sands for a number of years. Had the honour of being the Town mayor way back when.... back in the black and white days ;) Can reach me on 07866 514198 or d_hayday@hotmail.com or my council email. Am also on the Sands Facebook group - where I regularly update what I've been up to, etc
