The government should require all companies and organisations with employees to disclose the number of disabled individuals they employ, categorised by disability and job type.

Require employers to implement medical advice on workplace adjustments
Employers do not have to implement GP and Occupational Health advice on workplace adjustments if it is not "reasonable", leaving disabled and unwell workers unprotected. We call for a law requiring employers to follow medical recommendations unless they can prove it’s objectively impossible.
Require all employers to include parental leave policies in job listings
Require all employers to include parental leave policies clearly in job listings. Some studies show only a small percentage currently do so. Making it a legal requirement could help ensure fair access to information. We believe without it, discrimination, unfair withdrawal of offers could result.
Make it a legal requirement for salaries to be shown in job descriptions.
Introduce a universal salary banding system so that companies/employment agencies make it clear to job applicants what salary they can expect from a position rather than quoting "competitive salary" or asking applicants what their "salary expectation" is.
Fair Chance Hiring: Make Blind Recruitment Law
We call on the UK Government to introduce legislation requiring all employers in the public sector to use blind recruitment at the initial application stage. This means removing names, dates of birth, schools, and other identifying details before shortlisting candidates.
Review support for disabled people in accessing employment tribunals
We call on the Government to review the support available to help disabled people access and present their case in employment tribunals.
